He made this call during the ongoing second Ministerial Strategy Retreat organised by the Ministry of Interior in Ilorin, Kwara State where he emphasised on the need for security and law enforcement agencies to come together and work cooperatively in developing strategies towards strengthening our internal security architecture and making Nigeria safe and secure for all to live and thrive.
He avered that more credible intelligence gathering and sharing amongst security agencies is a veritable tool for an effective fight against insecurity in Nigeria and the fusion center would provide the platform for improved relationship among these agencies towards enhancing better service delivery for our collective safety and security.
The NSCDC boss therefore called for a more robust relationship to strengthen Nigeria’s internal security architecture; according to him, lack of synergy and collaboration is one of the factors militating against the successful fight against banditry, insurgency, kidnapping for ransom and a host of other threats against Nigeria’s National security.
