Capacity Building: NBA Organizes Training For Police Officers Of Lagos CP Abiodun Alabi

The Nigerian Bar Association has organized a-day training for police officers at the Lagos State Command with a view to deepening their knowledge as regard thier roles in implementing the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.

In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin stated that, “The Nigerian Bar Association has organized a-day training for police officers of Lagos State Command with a view to deepening their knowledge regarding thier roles in implementing the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015; and also the need for them to observe principles that ensure the protection and preservation of human rights.”

According to the statement, “The training which was carried out in partnership with the Mac Arthur Foundation is aimed at enhancing the capacity of officers and men of the command in their constitutional mandate of protecting lives and property as well as the observance of respect for the Rule of Law in the course of carrying out their duties.”

“The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc, mnim, psc while deeply appreciating the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for organizing the training has assured that officers and men of the Command will put the acquired knowledge to bear in the discharge of thier statutory duties.”
