Today, Sanwo-Olu met with the market leaders in Lagos, under the Association of Commodity Market Men and Women of Nigeria, to thank them for the support they have continued to give them and to encourage the market Men and Women to continue to be loyal citizens of the State.
During the meeting according to the information gathered from Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s twitter page, he announced the continuation of credit grants to hundred micro and small businesses, in each market across the state.
Sanwo-Olu said they are keeping up with this tradition because they are aware that the intervention has empowered many women and low-income households to meet their needs.
“I also took the opportunity to share the benefits of good governance reaped by the state in Education, Transportation and Health, amongst others.”
“I reassured them that these programmes are aimed at improving the lives of residents, regardless of income and status” he said.
