The House of Representatives on Wednesday passed a resolution to investigate the circumstances that led to the killing of a lawyer in Lagos.
On Christmas Day, a lawyer was shot and killed by a police officer in the Ajah area of Lagos State.
Some police officers in the country have been blamed for the unfortunate incident.
The House of Representatives decided to make sure that the officer involved is prosecuted with a view to getting justice and stopping officers from taking alcohol while on duty.
A minute’s silence was observed by the House.
The member representing Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos State moved the motion.
