Obosi Community Leader Murdered In Anambra By Unknown Gunmen

Hon. Ike Okolo, chairman of the Obosi community in the Idemili North Local Government district of Anambra state, was reportedly shot dead.

According to information gathered from the Daily Post News website, Okolo was shot dead by unknown gunmen at a petrol station in the community at around 8pm on New Year’s Day.

A video circulating on the internet showed that the community leader was shot right inside his SUV, as he sat in a pool of his own blood, behind the steering of the car.

Obosi is a town known to be notorious for cult clashes, a development the president-general is said to have opposed since he assumed office.

At the time of filing this report, it was not clear who his killers were.

A message to the spokesperson of the State police command, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga was still unanswered.
