Youth and student department of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council in Osun states that young Nigerians deserve a better country that brings the wealth and opportunities needed by young people.
It is everyone’s dream, the youth insisted, to have a better Nigeria, stating that the only candidate who can achieve this is the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The youth made the announcement at their inaugural meeting held on Thursday at the Tinubu/Shettima campaign office in Osogbo, the state capital.
The meeting deliberated more on how the wing would reach out to the grassroots level to campaign for votes for APC candidates in all elections.
In his welcoming speech, the chairman of the wing, Ayodele David Asalu said interaction with stakeholders is very important for the party’s success in the February elections.
This important interaction between the very strategic board and constituency youth leaders who are the party’s key stakeholders is a major step in securing our great party’s victory in the February 25 presidential election.
By understanding that Youth and Students are a large and sensitive percentage of voters, we as the Directorate are aware of the magnitude of the work ahead of us and therefore we are doing our best to ensure that we cooperate with each group of young people, organizations or youth stakeholders wherever they may be in the State.
“I should add that part of the tasks ahead is to ensure that Osun Province, a Yoruba Province, adds a significant amount of votes to the vote pool that will make it President of Asiwaju.
Reading what the meeting aimed to achieve, Asalu asked the youth leaders to return to their wards and start promoting the qualities of Asiwaju and Shettima that distinguish them from other Presidential candidates.
“Start with the mass refutation of the negative narratives that evil agents are putting forward against our candidate’s personality and his fellow candidate.
Massive recruitment of youth and students into Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s support base and turning them into mobilization agents, to ensure that we take over the vast majority of young voters in our state through the districts.”
Asalu also urged APC youth to make sure they educate voters around them to make sure they get their permanent voter cards.
In his short speech, Osun APC youth leader Goke Akinwemimo urged Nigerian youth to see Tinubu as the man with the best credentials to make Nigeria better.
A no-nonsense session of youth leaders from all areas of local government in the state provided a thorough analysis of strategies to achieve their mission.
Among the attendees were Ademola Addey, Secretary of the Directorate, Gboyega Adelabo, Kola Salami, Witunde Salame, and others.
