Following the election result, governor dismissed commissioner and three others.

Governor Aminu Bello Masari has announced the immediate sack of the commissioner for works and housing, Tasiu Dahiru Dadagoro and three other aides.

Although the reasons for their dismissal were not revealed, investigation showed that they were removed for engaging in anti-party activities during the just concluded elections in the state.

According to Crime Channel, this was included in a statement signed by State Government (SSG) Secretary Mutari Lawal and made available yesterday.

The statement reads: “In the move for some strategic realignment and adjustment, His Excellency, the Governor of Katsina State, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari approved the immediate termination of the appointment of the following;

“Hon Tasiu Dahiru Dandagoro – commissioner for works, housing and transport; Yusuf Barmo, Chairman of the Katsina State Pilgrim Welfare Board; Fatima Ahmed, Permanent Secretary, Sustainable Development Goals, and Aminu Vaziri, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.”

It added that all affected political and public officials who are sacked should hand over all government property owned by them to their respective permanent secretaries or highest ranking directors, as the case may be.

Yesterday morning, the APC narrowly lost the presidential election to the PDP, but won three senatorial seats and nine seats in the state House of Representatives.
