Lagos Police Force arrested two men, Toheeb Jimoh, 26, and Habeeb Ishola, 35, for stealing a Nissan Rogue belonging to the US Embassy.
State police spokesman SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed this, said a report had been filed that a truck carrying the brand new Nissan Rogue owned by the US embassy was being pulled away from where it was parked by some attackers.
AcHundeyin explained that the police while acting on the report, began a full-scale investigation that led to the arrest of the suspects as well as the recovery of the truck.
The PPRO added that the suspect was arrested while negotiating the sale of the entire truck and its contents for N5 million.
He said that the truck is currently at the state headquarters Ikeja.
