Gang Members Arrested in Lagos After Operating in Ogun

Four members of a robbery gang who have been terrorising residents of the Ode-Remo community in Ogun state have been apprehended in Lagos’ Mushin area.

According to a statement issued by the spokesperson of the Ogun Police Command, SP Abimbola Oyami, the arrested suspects, 24-year-old Habib Salahuddin, 30-year-old Ezekiel Jessiemi, 22-year-old Olamelikan Teniola and 25-year-old Olitan Sonibere, were part of a group of seven who attacked a house on Kotko Road. , Ode-Remo, for committing robbery.

The residents of the house, however, had sent a distress call to the policemen assigned to the Ode-Remo division headquarters about the robbery operation at around 2:30 a.m.

“DPO Ode-Remo unit, CSP Fasogbon Olayemi, rushed his men to the scene at the distress call, when they got there they engaged in a gunfight with the vagrants, but the robbers managed to escape in a white Rav 4 car, it came with “Luck however ran against them when they were accosted by policemen at Warewa who stopped them having seen the bullet hole on their vehicle,” Oyeyemi said about how they were arrested. “Later, the thief abandoned the car and fled.

They were technically stalked to the Mushin area of ​​Lagos, where four of them were arrested. “All have confessed to the commission of the crime.

A police spokesman added that four iPhones and 13 Android phones were recovered from the suspects.

“In the meantime, the police commissioner, CP Frank Mba, has directed that the suspects be transferred to the state criminal investigation departments for discreet investigation.

“CP also ordered a massive manhunt for the remaining members of the gang with a view to bringing them to justice,” he said.
