Afrobeats superstar Davido stated that when he first started playing music, his family members didn’t take him seriously.
During a recent interview with Jazzy’s World TV, the singer revealed as much.
He explained that being the last child in the family was one of the reasons why he was not taken seriously.
The DMW boss explained that he was only recognized and accepted after his music gained popularity.
However, he enjoys being the last born because his siblings always have his back when he is in trouble.
Davido said:
When I wanted to do music, imagine I am the last born of the family.
I like, yo I want to do music.
I’m going to be a superstar one day.
Imagine trying to influence everyone in a family [where] you are the last born.
Nobody took me seriously. do you feel Me But when I was older, they looked and saw that, yo he is very good at this.
