Lagos State Police have arrested an unidentified private school security guard in the Lekki area of the state for allegedly desecrating a four-year-old student at the school.
This is precisely what the girl’s family has accused the local police of colluding with the school administration in an attempt to cover up the matter.
One twitter user, identified as Omolomo, @TheVawulence, revealed that the girl’s father went to the police station – Ajiwe branch – to report the incident but is said to have been threatened by some thugs on orders of the school owner.
“A four-year-old girl was raped by a security guard at a school in Lekki, Lagos, Greater Scholars International School.
The girl’s father went to report the incident to the police, but the school owner brought in bandits to threaten him.
“The school is a Graduate Scholar and they use their money to pay the police.
Security said he is very sure he will get away with it without consequences because he knows how powerful the school is with the police and he started laughing when the father came to complain. @BenHundein we want justice.
“When she was being abused she went to report to the teacher that Mr David put his stuff in my ass and the teacher whipped her and told her not to tell anyone. We need Justice.
Police not responding,” the tweet read in part.
The Twitter user also posted a video of the thugs blocking the gate as the father reported the case, demanding justice must be done. “
When he was reported, the security guard laughed.

The girl was asked to explain how she was treated using the teddy bear and she told exactly what happened and said she should never tell anyone,” the tweet added.
Police spokesman in the state, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest of the guard on Saturday, but did not disclose his name.
He also denied allegations that the police were frustrated in the matter.
“What exactly do you mean by ‘the police are not responding?’
The suspect has been arrested and is still in custody.
A medical report that would ensure a conviction is being expected.
“We are not talking about emotions but we are dealing with evidence to prove the issues beyond any doubt,” he said.
The school has not released a statement about the incident at the time this report was filed.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency responded to the incident through a statement titled “RE: A security guard at Greater Scholars Int’l School allegedly molested a 4-year-old child“. responded.
“On May 3, 2023, we received a case report through our toll-free line and took immediate action by referring the child for medical and psychosocial support.
“We also alerted the Ajiwe FSU Police Division for investigation. The suspect is currently in police custody.
The case will be referred to the Lagos State Police Command, Lagos, before going to court on Monday. We will continue to provide you with updates as the case progresses,” the agency said.
