The suspects, Ezekiel Simon (18) and Lumana Zakka (29), were taken into custody after the death of 45-year-old Ezekiel Samaila.
Samaila was last seen on September 24, 2024, when he left home to watch a football game.
His body was found the next day by the roadside, and his motorcycle and phone were missing.
Police investigations led to Simon, who was found with Samaila’s phone.
During questioning, Simon confessed that he and Zakka killed Samaila by hitting him with a pestle.
Zakka claimed he killed Samaila as revenge, blaming him for the deaths of his family members.
The suspects sold Samaila’s motorcycle for N400,000, and the police are working to recover it.
Both men will face charges of murder, robbery, and conspiracy. The police have asked for public assistance in the investigation.
