Ministry Of Transportation Arrest Illegal Enforcement Agent, No Hiding Place For Fake Operators – SA Transport

The Lagos state government has promised to crack down on unauthorized law enforcement officers acting on behalf of the Department of Transportation, dubbed M.O.T TASFORCE.

According to press statement released to The Info Page News, Special Adviser for Transportation, Hon Sola Giwa, made the statement while handing over to security forces a scammer caught posing as a Ministry Enforcement Agent with many illegal documents.

Giwa, noting that his office was under attack with information about the activities of these unauthorized operators, added that the state government will no longer warn but will direct the full wrath of the law on any bogus operator.

“Lagos State is a state governed by laws.”

The transport sector is regulated by the Transport Sector Reform Law (TSRL) 2018 and therefore leaves no room for handkerchiefs or charlatans.

My office will continue to conduct covert operations and unplanned visits to catch these bogus operators, their collaborators and sponsors in the act. Lagos has had enough,” railed the Transport Special Adviser.

Additionally, Giwa urged the public to report the activities of an unauthorized enforcement team to the Ministry of Transportation for it to be reported to the police for possible prosecution.

Remember that on August 11, 2022, Ministry of Transportation issued an indefinite ban on the activities of its M.O.T TASKFORCE-branded enforcement team as part of measures to streamline transportation operations in Lagos State for better effectiveness.
