Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) leadership has denied the agency has started recruiting for 22/23.
The service’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Abubakar Umar, who debunked the rumors in a communiqué yesterday in Abuja, said that in the online advertisements claiming that the NCoS recruitment portal is open for recruitment, not an iota contained in the truth.
He said the rumors were being spread by unscrupulous elements bent on defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.
“The attention of the Nigerian Correctional Service has been drawn to a fake advert for hiring the service being peddled by some unscrupulous individuals bent on defrauding unsuspecting job seekers.
“The service would like to state categorically that the publication is a product of scammers as no recruitment exercise is ongoing,” the statement said.
Abubakar warned that “therefore the public should reject such requests as they are the work of dubious individuals bent on exploiting innocent applicants”.
