An unidentified man reportedly killed himself in Agona port near Diaso in the Upper Denkyira West District in the central region of Ghana.
According to Within Nigeria, it was found that the man, in his 30s, who shot himself after spiritually bracing himself against gunfire was identified simply as divine.
An eyewitnesses said, he first shot in the ankle before shooting in the ribs, but the bullet missed both attempts.
Confident of his success, he reportedly aimed the gun at his head and fired at point-blank range.
The bullet penetrated and he died instantly.
His remains were sent to the Dunkwa On-Offin Mortuary for safekeeping and autopsy.
Diaso law enforcement has launched an investigation into the incident.
