Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of All Progressive Congress Party presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has promised to whip her husband if he “derails” after becoming president. She said: “We will not let you down.
Asiwaju will not go off the rails after becoming president. If it goes off track, you can count on me to get it back on line.
The former first lady of Lagos said this on Tuesday at the grand finale of the APC presidential campaign at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
“We are now at a critical stage of our campaign.
This is our grand finale. God is still faithful.
Asiwaju can only be our next president if you go out on Saturday and vote for him,” he told APC members and fans in the stadium.
Ms Tinubu added: “You know we have been consistent over the last 23 years and we will not disappoint you.
Asiwaju is not running because there is an opportunity for power.
He runs because he sees a need he wants to meet.
It was recalled by Within Nigeria that Senator Remi, while speaking at the Tinubu/Shettima South East Women’s Presidential Campaign Rally in Owerri, Imo State, advised Nigerians to “kick out” her husband, Tinubu, after four years if he is elected and not manages to fulfill.
The senator representing Lagos Central said: “Let us put religion aside; I am christian.
Did you ever think that one day there would be a Christian-Christian candidate?
What will be the point of return? We have tried Muslim-Christian ticket, try this also and after four years if they don’t do well, you can throw them out.
