Audi, The Civil Defense Corps Boss, Receives Security News Publishers President Oki Samson; Praises The Media For The Support

The Commander General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Abubakar Ahmed Audi, hosted the President of the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) for a courtesy visit earlier this week.

During the meeting, held in his office at the corps’ national headquarters in Abuja, CG Audi recognized the importance of the media in providing timely and accurate reporting on the activities of the security agency he heads.

Noting that the NSCDC will continue to fulfill its legal responsibility as the “lead agency protecting critical national assets and infrastructure,” CG Audi reiterated that the organization never competes with other security agencies, but rather works together.

He added that youth is at the core of staff strength.

The agency that regulates, monitors, oversees and licenses private security companies in Nigeria has achieved great success in staff welfare, private security company licensing and security guard training under the leadership of CG Audi.

It is also noteworthy that the agency is a grassroots organization with offices in all 774 LGAs in Nigeria.

NAOSNP President Samson Oki spoke during the visit and commended the innovative and transformative leadership CG Audi has brought to the office in less than two years.

He also presented the Commander-General with a NAOSNP Certificate of Credibility.

Likewise, the NSCDC’s Director of Public Affairs, DCC Olusola Odumosu, also attended the courtesy visit.

He was also presented with a certificate of credentials by NAOSNP President Samson Oki for his amazing relationship with the media.

This relationship was able to position the corps appropriately in front of the Nigerians, NAOSNP can report.
