Regarding the Department of Works Notice on the Ijora Eastlink/Causeway Project, the Lagos State Government has announced that traffic will be rerouted in Ijora from Friday, September 2nd to Sunday, September 4th, 2022.
In a press release electronically signed by the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, the notification explained that motorists will be diverted to the National Theater to access Ijora and Costain as the flexible sidewalk connecting the Eko Bridge undergoes rehabilitation.
The commissioner for traffic, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, has assured the motoring public that the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority will efficiently manage traffic along the affected routes.
Oladeinde encouraged citizens to work with the government to minimize inconvenience, adding that ongoing projects across the state are aimed at creating and maintaining an efficient transportation system.
