Murphy Afolabi, the beloved actor of Yoruba films, passed away.
He died on Sunday morning. This comes less than 24 hours after news filtered about the death of famous Nollywood actor, St. Obi.
Details of the circumstances of Afolabi’s death are not yet available.
However, a colleague of the deceased in Nollywood’s Yoruba sub-sector, Tunde Ola-Yusuf, has confirmed the sad news.
Ola-Yusuf, a well-known actor, director and producer, took to his Facebook page on Sunday afternoon to mourn the loss of Afolabi.
He wrote: “REST IN PEACE… “May God give the family and loved ones strength to bear the loss. “Good night, Merve Afolabi.”
