Tinubu, Buhari Behind my Success in Politics – Aregbesola

Rauf Aregbesola, the former Interior Minister, said on Sunday that President Bola Tinubu and his predecessor, President Muhammadu Buhari, played important roles in his life.

Aregbesola made this statement in Oyo City, Oyo State, at a civic reception held in his honor by relevant Muslim scholars and clerics in southwestern Nigeria.

He said the support of the two leaders paved the way for him to achieve success.

He said: “I am grateful to those who have made possible the achievements that make this magnificent reception possible.”

I begin with those who guided me in Lagos, who facilitated my emergence in Osun, and who made it possible for me to do the little things that the people of Oyo are celebrating with me.

“If any appreciation and gratitude can be given to me, I want to believe that greater gratitude and appreciation should be given to those two persons whom I have mentioned because without their support it would be very difficult for me alone to achieve the heights I have achieved and render the services that people praise and value,” he said.

In his address, the Chairman of the Oyo State Muslim Community, Kunle Sani, said: “Aregbesola’s major interventions in this state include the passport office and fire service facilities among other various development projects in the state.

He continues to illuminate the world with his light.

I am happy and the whole Muslim community is happy to be with him.

In their lectures, Prof. Saraafdin Karim from Federal University of Agriculture, Ogun State and Associate Professor of Laduke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosu, advised them not to stop doing their best for humanity.

The duo who spoke on the topics “The Stewardship of a True Servant” and “To Whom Much Is Given, Much Is Expected”, further urged him to remain grateful to Allah for his benevolence, which has given him maintained in the public sphere.

For more than two decades, with resounding success. Amir Jamatul Tavunn Muslimin and Grand Mufti of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta Daoud Molasan stated that the program was dedicated to Aregbesol, who continued to identify with Islam and Muslims during his time in politics.

Convener of the programme, the Khadeemul Muslimeen of Oyo Kingdom, Daud Tijani popularly known as Igi-Ogun described him as an upright man in religion and politics.
