Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has Appointed Seven Permanent Secretaries in the Health Sector of the Lagos State Public Service

A statement signed by the Head of  Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, explains that appointees are primarily Health Officers selected based on merit from a pool of successful applicants in the Assignment.

Screening and Executive Development to be held in April 2022.

According to information gathered from Lagos State website, Muri-Okunola outlined the new Permanent Secretaries as:

  • Dr. (Mrs.) Mabogunye Cecilia Abimbola – Special Class I Consultant,
  • Health Commission; Doctor (Mrs.) Bankole Olufunmilayo Olabisi – Consultant Special Grade II, Ministry of Health;
  • Dr. (Mrs.) Zamba Olutoyin Emanuella – Chief Medical Officer/General Manager, Lagos State Health Authority;
  • Dr. Bowale Abimbola – Chief Medical Officer, Health Services Commission;
  • Dr. (Ms.) Lajide Oludayo Ibidunni – Chief Dental Officer, Ministry of Health;
  • Dr. Asiyanbi Oladapo Olubanwo – Chief Medical Officer, Primary Health Care Board;
  • Dr. (Mrs.) Adeleke Monsurat, Chief Medical Officer/Chief Executive Officer, Lagos State AIDS Control Agency.

Noting that the appointments take effect from July 10, 2023, the Head of Service expressed confidence that the new appointees have the qualities, skills and experience required to fill the positions of Permanent Secretaries in the civil service of Lagos State.

“The swearing-in ceremony and assignment will be announced later when the time comes,” Muri-Okunola said.

He wished the appointees a successful tenure in office, imploring them to relent in ensuring the continued effective and efficient performance of their duties.
